This week’s “Meet Our Team” series spotlight is Craig Helsing who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty and plays a major role in the future of Brown Homes!
Hi Craig, thank you for taking the time to answer some questions! To start, tell me about your role and experience here at Brown Homes?
“I sure can! I have been with Brown Homes for the past 4+ years serving as the Manager of Land Acquisition & Land Development. My passion for working in dirt the past 26 years provides me the ability to be a bit crafty and bold as we seek out new, unseen opportunities in this very competitive industry.
That is so cool! Besides playing in the dirt what do you enjoy most about work?
“Since I enjoy my work, it’s not really work for me. I find much satisfaction working with my peers to accomplish our collective goals and aspirations – not only in the marketplace, but in helping others reach their personal goals as well. I love to embrace the opportunities of mentorship, to teach others my knowledge of working in the land arena and life experiences.
What’s your definition of a perfect day off?
“Travel is one of my favorite time away activities. I love going to new, otherworldly, and faraway places on planet earth. But if it were just for a day, I’d say anything outdoors is the best thing for the soul.”
Travelling is amazing – so freeing and never fails to provide unforgettable experiences. Many people like to read when they travel. What have you read recently that you would recommend to others?
“I would say, How People Grow by Dr. Henry Cloud & Dr. John Townsend is my favorite right now in my current season of life. It’s a challenging read, but worth the investment of time.”
Very nice! And lastly, what are you most looking forward to in the future with Brown Homes?
“I am excited to continue to help Brown Homes grow by providing the perfect dream home for everyone – from the first-time homeowner to the last-time homeowner and all the homeowners in between – in neighborhoods that provide and enhance social community.”
