Here at Brown Homes, we’re a family – not just coworkers – and getting to know one another is the best part of the job. Our team puts their hearts and souls into every home we build, so we thought we’d share some insight into who we are and what makes us tick!
In this next installment of the ‘Meet Our Team’ series, we’d like to introduce you to our Controller, Tina Taylor!
“Hi Tina, I appreciate you doing this interview and answering some of my questions! Let’s begin with you telling me more about your role here at Brown Homes and some experience you’ve acquired.”
“No problem at all. I’m excited to hear what questions you have in store! I’ve been with Brown Homes for a year now but have known the Brown Family for many years. I also, have years of experience in the construction industry, and the relationships I have created with Brown Homes has allowed me to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge and an appreciation for this field.”
“I can imagine knowing the Brown family for many years has also made working here an experience that creates a more connected environment, which is awesome! What do you enjoy most about your work?”
“While being here I have come to love the professionalism and dedication of both the management and my coworkers. There’s a mentality where everyone is a team player, resulting in an office atmosphere full of great vibes.”
“If you had a theme song for your life what would it be and why?”
“It would have to be “Wide Open Spaces” by The Dixie Chicks. Being from a small town in Ohio and never traveling west past the Mississippi growing up, to making a grand move out to Arizona, I got to truly experience the wide open spaces of this great state! I consider myself truly fortunate that I have to ability to experience different climates all within a day’s drive.”
“That is a great song and will certainly be stuck in my head all day now! How many countries have you been to and which one was your favorite?”
“I travelled to Canada in my college days and was impressed by the beauty of the nature and landscape – specifically Niagara Falls! I have also been to Mexico, which is obviously warmer, but found myself to like Canada a bit more.”
“Niagara Falls is definitely on my travel bucket list! Finally, what are you most looking forward to in the future with Brown Homes?”
“I love this industry and seeing the development of raw land into the dream homes of our customers. Every time I record a sale in the books, I imagine our buyers and the excitement they are experiencing as they’re moving into their new home. I am looking forward to many more of those moments and sharing in the excitement behind the scenes.”
